The Stuart J. Hulnick, MD, Burn Center at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children provides the specialized care required by children suffering from burns, smoke inhalation, and related illnesses. The Center is the only pediatric burn center on the East Coast between Boston and Charleston, SC. The team of specialists includes plastic surgeons, pediatric surgeons; critical care specialists, nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and other specially trained health care professionals. They utilize advanced techniques, not only to help save the lives of young burn victims and minimize scarring that result from burn injuries, but also to respond to the emotional needs of patients and their families.
