Physical therapy services at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children treats patients who are experiencing muscular, musculoskeletal and neurologic problems and skeletal problems as a result of birth, injury or illness. This service may help children regain motor skills, recover coordination, and achieve physical potential. Each patient is evaluated individually, and a goal-oriented program is designed to help meet his or her needs. Programs are available for both inpatients and outpatients, and home programs may be recommended when appropriate.

The Physical Therapy Department also participates in clinics designed to provide comprehensive care to the myopathy, myelomeningocele and cerebral palsy children with orthopedic needs. We also hold a wheelchair seating clinic in the Department to assist our outpatient population with wheelchair and equipment needs.
