St. Christopher’s Heart Center for Children, together with the Section of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Section of Cardiology, provides treatment of children with congenital and acquired diseases of the heart, such as ventricular septal defects, hypoplastic left heart syndrome and cardiac rhythm disturbances.
The medical staff uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide educational, emotional and social support for patients and their families. The Heart Center for Children provides a comprehensive resource for the services required to treat heart diseases of all types in children and young adults.
