St. Christopher's Hospital for Children Appoints Director of Business Development

Lydia Hammer has been appointed Director of Business Development of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. In this position she is responsible for developing and managing St. Christopher’s strategic positioning and business development efforts, including strategic planning, service line and program planning, network development and affiliate management, marketing and communications and physician relationship management.

Ms. Hammer has over 25 years of experience in health care strategy and business development, and advising hospital executives and boards on business models to support expansion and growth.

Ms. Hammer most recently served as a partner in the Healthcare Strategy Division of Kurt Salmon Associates, an international consulting firm, where she provided consultation to major hospitals and health systems nationally, including academic medical centers, multi-hospital systems and children’s hospitals.

She previously served as a partner and executive vice president of the Katz Consulting Group, Plymouth Meeting, Pa., a boutique national health care strategy consulting firm.

Hammer earned a Master’s of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley with an emphasis in health policy, planning and administration. She currently serves as a board member of the Supportive Older Women’s Network and the Women’s Way Community Women’s Fund, and is a member of multiple national health care organizations.
