Affiliation Brings Expert Newborn Care to Bucks County Families

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and Lower Bucks Hospital announced today a new partnership that will enhance the level of care provided in Lower Bucks Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children’s board-certified neonatologists will manage and staff the Lower Bucks Hospital’s Level II NICU, which provides care for more than 1,000 babies delivered every year.

By partnering with Lower Bucks Hospital, St. Christopher’s Hospital is furthering its mission to improve the health and well-being of children from around the region and provide them with high quality compassionate care.

Located in historic Bristol, Pennsylvania, Lower Bucks Hospital (LBH) was founded by a community grassroots movement in 1954. LBH has welcomed more than 75,000 newborns into the world – more than any other hospital in Bucks County and has a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. LBH is known for its skilled medical staff, outstanding and compassionate nursing staff, a family-friendly atmosphere and a beautifully wooded 36-acre medical campus.

Since 1875, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children has been providing exceptional patient care and advancing new pediatric treatments through research and innovation. The 189-bed hospital is committed to delivering high quality family- and patient-centered pediatric care.
