Physician Awarded Dean's Special Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching

June 15, 2012

Polly Kochan, MD, has been awarded the Dean's Special Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching by Drexel University College of Medicine.

As an attending radiologist at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Dr. Kochan works closely with medical students from Drexel when they undergo clinical rotations as part of their medical school experience.

The Dean's Special Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching recognizes not only excellence in teaching, but also outstanding commitment and contribution to Drexel University College of Medicine. The annual award, first presented in 1993, is based on senior student balloting with input from the Dean’s office based on an administrative review of evaluations of student rotations that take place outside the University setting.

Dr. Kochan received her medical degree from La Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. She completed her postgraduate training at Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Jackson Memorial Hospital and Temple University Hospital.
