Hospital Opens Primary Care Practice to Serve Community's Children
St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is opening a primary care practice in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. Called "StChris Care at Falls Center," the facility will offer well child visits and immunizations, as well as sick care services for infants, children and adolescents.
Led by pediatricians Dr. Charlene Brock and Dr. Eileen Tyrala, the practice has strong roots in the community. Both physicians have a long history of serving the local East Falls, Conshohocken and Roxborough areas.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to help expand St. Christopher's ability to provide the children of East Falls and nearby communities with excellent primary pediatric medical care," says Dr. Tyrala.
"As an East Falls resident, I'm delighted that our practice will be part of the East Falls community," says Dr. Brock. "We look forward to serving families in the area."
Dr. Brock is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Medical Societies and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. She has a special interest in adoption, breastfeeding and weight management issues.
Dr. Tyrala also shares an interest in children's weight management. She has conducted research in infant nutrition and formula. Dr. Tyrala has particular expertise in the care of newborns and premature babies, and she previously served as the director of Neonatology at St. Christopher's. She actively promotes safe sleep education at the local, state and national levels.
Located at 3300 Henry Avenue, StChris Care at Falls Center will be open Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Emergency appointments will be available on weekends.
