St. Christopher's Celebrates Heart Month

In celebration of National Heart Month, the Heart Center at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children presented former patient Lindsay Siegle with the Heart with Heart award for her dedication to raising awareness of heart disease and her commitment to the community.

At just a day old Lindsay made national headlines becoming the youngest patient to have a pacemaker installed. Lindsay returned to St. Chris to have open heart surgery at ages 2 and 10.

Now a graduate student at the University of Delaware, Lindsay is pursing a career in health care. She works with the American Heart Association to champion heart disease awareness and each year Lindsay visits St. Christopher’s to donate and hand-deliver presents to patients.
