Food and Nutrition Services
The Sodexo Food and Nutrition Services Department at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children provides nutrition and formula for inpatients, clinical nutrition services and cafeteria service for visitors and staff.

Cafeteria
St. Christopher's Hospital has a cafeteria located on the ground floor open to visitors every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cafeteria serves a variety of hot and cold food items, including deli sandwiches and wraps, Bumble fish sushi, as well as many wellness items. Daily specials can be obtained by dialing MENU (6368) on any hospital telephone or (215) 427-5862 from outside the hospital.

Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Dinner: 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Breakfast: 7:30 - 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
Dinner: 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Dining with Your Child
Guest trays are available upon request. You must first purchase a $5 meal voucher in the cafeteria, located on the ground floor. Call ext. 5123 to place your order. Your meal will be served with your child's.
Jungle Hut Coffee Shop
Located in the hospital lobby, the Jungle Hut serves Seattle's Best ® coffee, soft pretzels, pastries, yogurt and other grab-and-go items.

Vending Services
Snack and beverage vending machines are available 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week and are located on the ground floor of the hospital.
Just for Patients
Nutrition Services for Your Child
The inpatient menu is designed to appeal to the tastes of children
andvincludes alternate menu choices and regular snacks. A menu will be
placed on your child's breakfast tray each morning. Use this to
select your child's meals for the next day. After filling out your
menu, place it on your child's tray to be picked up by the food and
nutrition department, or give it to your nurse for pick up.
If your child has special dietary needs, including food allergies, please inform your nurse upon admission.
Birthday Program
If your child's birthday occurs during his or her stay at our
hospital, Food and Nutrition Services will provide your child
with a small birthday cake.
Clinical Nutrition Services
The dietitians at St. Christopher's strive to provide optimal nutritional care through timely nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring and education. The clinical dietitians work closely with patients and their families to provide individualized nutrition care plans to meet the needs of each child. Clinical dietitians also act as consultants to the medical staff to provide specialized information on diets and formula preparations.
