At St. Christopher’s, our social workers often play an integral role in consulting with a patient’s healthcare team and helping develop a plan of care both during and after hospitalization. Our experienced social workers take a family-centered approach to helping patients and families adjust to the many demands illness places on them. They provide referrals for support services and resources and coordinate with the outside organizations including the child welfare system.
