CT Scanning [64 Slice Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner]
The Department of Radiology at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is designed especially for pediatric needs. This is true not only for the technical amount of radiation administered, but also for equipment to improve patient comfort.
Our Radiology Department offers the 64-Slice LightSpeed VCT machine, an advanced Volume Computed Tomography System. The CT scanner technology enables us to offer: CT, CTA (CT Angiography), and Cardiac CTA to our referring physicians and their pediatric patients. The technology also allows for:
- Faster scan time
- Thinner slices
- Higher quality images
- Lower radiation dose
The Radiology department is located on the first floor of the hospital. For more information, contact the Department of Radiology at (215) 427-5235 or the CT Lab at (215) 427-5139.
