  • St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children was the only pediatric hospital in Pennsylvania to be named a 2018 Top Children’s Hospital by The Leapfrog Group
  • Dr. Laurence Feinstein was awarded the Neurogastroenterology and Motility Basic Science Award at the 2018 NASPGHAN Annual Meeting for his work at Columbia University during fellowship, entitled ‘RET Signaling in the Intestinal Epithelium Regulates Gastrointestinal Motility.’

  • St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children was awarded the prestigious Eisenberg Award for National Innovation in Patient Safety and Quality. This award is the highest patient safety and quality award in the country! As part of a collaborative of researchers, hospitalists, and medical education specialists, called the I-PASS Study Group, St. Christopher’s helped develop a package of interventions used by more than 50 leading hospitals in the U.S. This group works to standardize communications during handoffs of our patients between care teams.

  • Dr. Nancy Spector, Attending Physician at St. Christopher's is Chair of National I-PASS Handoff Study, which seeks to reduce medical errors by improving caregiver-to-caregiver communication. St. Chris was one of 11 institutions to participate in the national study. The study was recently featured in the New England Journal of Medicine.
