What to Bring to the Hospital

If you’re preparing for a visit to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, rest assured that most of your child’s basic needs will be taken care of, including food, hospital gowns and toiletries. Below is a short list of essentials you’ll need to bring with you, as well as recommendations for items you should definitely leave at home.

What to Bring to the Hospital

  • A complete list of all medications your child is taking, including over-the-counter medications 
  • Lab and X-ray results, if done recently
  • A case for glasses or contacts
  • Your Insurance card
  • Valid ID
  • Form of payment
  • For overnight stays, pack sleepwear, footwear, stuffed animals and other personal items your child may need

What Not to Bring to the Hospital

  • Valuables, such as jewelry or money
  • Cigarettes, alcohol or illegal drugs
