Minimally Invasive Surgery
If your child needs surgery, you’ve come to the right place. You want your child’s surgery to be as quick and painless as possible. At St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, our talented pediatric surgeons use minimally invasive techniques, often resulting in shorter hospital stays, less postoperative pain and smaller incisions for your child.
The Division of Pediatric General, Thoracic and Minimally Invasive Surgery at St. Christopher's is staffed by pediatric surgeons who have extensive training in general and pediatric surgery. Our pediatric surgeons work with all ages, from premature infants to adolescents, and treat a variety of conditions, including infections, tumors, endocrine disorders and congenital malformations.
St. Christopher’s team of pediatric surgeons is led by Rajeev Prasad, MD, Chief, Section of Pediatric General, Thoracic and Minimally Invasive Surgery; Director, Minimally Invasive Surgery Center. To view a list of our specialists, click here.
